Thank you Phyllis. It was a fun town to explore with so many stairs and hidden alleyways between the old historic buildings.

Artist's Description

Abstract manipulated photo image of one of the many stairs located throughout the town of Bisbee, Arizona. (See below)

“There’s a reason Bisbee is tucked into a range of hills called the Mule Mountains.
The city was designed for the stubborn, sure-footed little bas... um, beasts.
Bisbee sprung up during the 1880s as a mining camp on the steep hillsides, laced with paths on which mules moved goods up to the little shacks. During the Great Depression, with mining jobs drying up, someone came up with the idea of building concrete steps along the paths.
The Work Projects Administration set about laying concrete, and today, about 3,000 stairs weave through the hills in Bisbee, some in disrepair.
In 1990, residents decided put the best of the stairs to use in the perfect quirky event for a perfectly quirky little city.
Thus was born the Bisbee 1000: The Great Stair Climb.” Bob Young, The Republic

In fact, Walkabout, probably best describes my style as I wonder around the Pacific Northwest looking for ordinary but interesting everyday objects, scenes, and places of interest. I am currently located in the beautiful community of Poulsbo, located on the Kitsap Peninsula of Washington State. The area is bordered by the Olympic Peninsula and Mountains on one side and the Puget Sound and Seattle on the other side. This location provides an abundance of photographic opportunity. As a result, this, along with Eastern Washington, where I grew up, is where most of my Walkabout photography time is spent. The two quotes below summarize my feelings about photography: ...
