Artist's Description

Late fall, first snow of the season in Eastern Washington wheat country in the long forgotten town of Bluestem, Lincoln County. Grain elevators in the background are a silent reminder of the annual summer harvest activity.
Bluestem is an unincorporated community in Lincoln County, in the U.S. state of Washington.[1]

History:
A post office called Bluestem was established in 1906, and remained in operation until 1951. The community was named for the bluestem wheat field near the original town site.
