Description
After a recent winter storm a large tree drifted on to the beach in front of the Point-No-Point Lighthouse on the northern end of Kitsap Peninsula near Hansville in Washington State.
The Point No Point Lighthouse, built in 1879, is considered to be the oldest lighthouse on Puget Sound and is located at the
northeastern tip of the Kitsap Peninsula on the west side of Puget Sound, at Point No Point where Admiralty Inlet joins Puget Sound, near the small community of Hansville, Kitsap County, in the U.S. state of Washington.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
