Photo taken during late fall on US 20 between Mountain Home and Fairfield in Idaho. What caught my eye was the orange sun reflecting off the clouds and mixing with a blue sky as the sun was setting. The road in the center of the photo emphasizes the solitude and emptiness of the open road through the mountains. The road crests at Cat Creek summit which is 5,527 feet above sea level.
I consider myself to be somewhat of a generalist as a photographer. In fact, Walkabout, probably best describes my style as I wonder around the Pacific Northwest looking for ordinary but interesting everyday objects, scenes, and places of interest. I am currently located in the beautiful community of Poulsbo, located on the Kitsap Peninsula of Washington State. The area is bordered by the Olympic Peninsula and Mountains on one side and the Puget Sound and Seattle on the other side. This location provides an abundance of photographic opportunity. As a result, this, along with Eastern Washington, where I grew up, is where most of my Walkabout photography time is spent. The two quotes below summarize my feelings about photography: ...
