When Port Townsend (originally "Townshend") Bay was named in 1792 by British Captain George Vancouver.
The town is best known for having more than 300 Victorian-style homes in a city with a population of less than 10,000. Back in the mid-1800s, town planners expected Port Townsend to be the busiest port in the state because of its position on Puget Sound. So they built it up, big-time.
I consider myself to be somewhat of a generalist as a photographer. In fact, Walkabout, probably best describes my style as I wonder around the Pacific Northwest looking for ordinary but interesting everyday objects, scenes, and places of interest. I am currently located in the beautiful community of Poulsbo, located on the Kitsap Peninsula of Washington State. The area is bordered by the Olympic Peninsula and Mountains on one side and the Puget Sound and Seattle on the other side. This location provides an abundance of photographic opportunity.
