Description
This is a touching photo of my mother and father visiting the Washington State Veterans Cemetery and the Columbarium which contain her brother’s ashes. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. My uncle survived the sinking of the USS Lexington in the Coral Sea. The US Navy said 216 crew members died after the ship was attacked. More than 2,000 others were rescued. My father served on the USS Catron and at the age of 97 is one of the few World War II Veterans still living. It was an emotional day for all of us.

🇺🇸 Jerry, Thank you for sharing your WWII Photo Montage in the Memorial Day & Spiritual show. What a tremendous blessing that your father is still alive! Hoping you will capture many terrific moments & stories of your father's service. My late parents both served in WWII also. You are welcome to share Memorial related photos here in the Memorial Discussion anytime. GJ🇺🇸
