Artist's Description
November sunset silhouette over Cascade Lake on Orcas Island. Beautiful pink and blue lake reflections at sunset with trees and reeds silhouetted.
Orcas Island is a part of the 172 named islands that make up the San Juan Islands of Washington State. Orcas is the largest of the islands and has several large lakes. Cascade Lake is located in the beautiful Moran State Park which also includes Mt. Constitution, the highest point in the San Juan Islands providing a 360 degree of surrounding islands, Cascade & Olympic Mountans.
About Jerry Abbott
I consider myself to be somewhat of a generalist as a photographer. In fact, Walkabout, probably best describes my style as I wonder around the Pacific Northwest looking for ordinary but interesting everyday objects, scenes, and places of interest. I am currently located in the beautiful community of Poulsbo, located on the Kitsap Peninsula of Washington State. The area is bordered by the Olympic Peninsula and Mountains on one side and the Puget Sound and Seattle on the other side. This location provides an abundance of photographic opportunity.
