Large autumn water flow over Snoqualmie Falls, Washington State.
Snoqualmie Falls drops 270 feet over volcanic cliffs and inspired Charles Baker’s inspiration for the world’s first underground hydropower generation facility in the late 1890’s. The Falls, which are part of the Snoqualmie River are located about 30 minutes east of Seattle.
The beautiful and popular Salish Lodge and Spa overlooks the Falls!
“For the Snoqualmie People, who have lived for centuries in the Snoqualmie Valley in western Washington, Snoqualmie Falls is central to their culture, beliefs, and spirituality. A traditional burial site, to the Snoqualmie, the falls are "the place where First Woman and First Man were created by Moon the Transformer" and "where prayers were carried up to the Creator by great mists that rise from the powerful flow."The mists rising from the base of the waterfall are said to serve to connect Heaven and Earth.”

I am currently located in the beautiful community of Poulsbo, located on the Kitsap Peninsula of Washington State. The area is bordered by the Olympic Peninsula and Mountains on one side and the Puget Sound and Seattle on the other side. This location provides an abundance of photographic opportunity. As a result, this, along with Eastern Washington, where I grew up, is where most of my Walkabout photography time is spent. The two quotes below summarize my feelings about photography: ...
